Water Bill Relief Fund

What is the program?

The Water Bill Relief Program (WBRP) will provide temporary financial assistance to City of Annapolis homeowners who are unable to pay their water & wastewater servicesbecause they are experiencing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 crisis.

This Initiative is supported by the CARES Act funds. Therefore, these funds can only be used to pay water & wastewater services received after March 1, 2020.

 

 

 

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? (NEW FOR RENTERS WITH UTLITY IN THEIR NAME OR CURRENT RESIDENT MAY BE ELIGIBLE)

City of Annapolis residents who currently resides in the home and who own the property at the time the water & wastewater service bill is due.AND Have a household income of 120% or below the area median income (equals to $124,800 for a household of 4) AND Income has been affected by COVID-19.

HOW TO APPLY:

Fill out the enclosed application, submit your application along with a copy of your most recent Water and Wastewater Service bill and a copy of your Water and Wastewater Service Second and Final Notice to:

Your application may be dropped off at the drop box located outside the front of the building in the BOOK RETURN Slot or BITM Water Box at the Eastport/Annapolis-Neck Public Library, 269 Hillsmere Drive, Annapolis, Maryland 21403

DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY

  • Copy of your most current Water & Wastewater Service bill
  • Copy of your Water & Wastewater Service Second and Final Notice

If your WBRP application is approved, payment will be made directly to the City of Annapolis on your behalf and will show as a credit on your water & waste water bill account. You may view your account at https://selfserve.annapolis.gov/MSS/citizens/UtilityBilling/or contact the City of Annapolis Finance Office 410-263-7953 to confirm the status of your account.

What is the NEW Deadline?

As of May 1, 2021 (Until funds have been depleted) We have limited funds, however, we can assist a few more residents with their water bills.  Act now before all funds are depleted.
