As of April 30, 2025, we have served 1623 night referrals and 110 day referrals for the 2024-2025 season. A complete comparison is posted below. We still need your financial support to continue serving our most vulnerable neighbors.
We are happy to report there were only three COVID-19 outbreaks during the 2023-2024 season, and we successfully opened for 92 nights and five 24-hour activations during this season for a total of 1584 bed nights and 171 bed days for our shelterees!
Numerous guests are sheltered in transitional housing during the winter months and/or housed with the help of our community partners.

Emergency Winter Warming Relief Program Mission Statement
Blessed in Tech Ministries, Inc. is committed to providing overnight warming relief for ALL individuals and families in need of shelter during the frigid winter months. In alignment with the City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management, our goal is to ensure zero deaths due to homelessness caused by exposure to extreme cold.
As the shelter of last resort, we refuse no one—regardless of their condition or circumstance. This includes those experiencing:
Mental health crises
Substance use challenges
Family displacement
Individuals with no other options
We believe that dignity, compassion, and safety are fundamental rights that cannot be compromised. Our doors remain open to protect life, restore hope, and offer a warm, secure space when it’s needed most.
THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS WARMING RELIEF PROGRAM HOURS OF OPERATION ARE 7 PM UNTIL 7 AM, LOCATED AT 273 HILLTOP LANE, ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND 21403. THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF SHELTER, PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER HOTLINE TO BE SCREENED AT 410.417.7260, AS WELL AS 410.216.9167 OR 410.768.5522.
The forecasted low temperatures and wind chills will meet the current threshold to activate the City’s Warming Center. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center Auxiliary Gym, located at 273 Hilltop Lane, Annapolis, MD 21403, will open at the following times to provide emergency temporary warming relief to community members who need this service:
- Monday, February 9th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Tuesday morning at 7:00 am
- Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Wednesday morning at 7:00 am
- Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Thursday morning at 7:00 am
- Thursday, February 12th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Friday morning at 7:00 am
- Friday, February 13th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Saturday morning at 7:00 am
- Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Sunday morning at 7:00 am
- Sunday, February 15th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Monday morning at 7:00 am
- Monday, February 16th, 2026, at 7:00 pm until Tuesday morning at 7:00 am
Reminder – Patrons who take advantage of this service must:
- Arrive for the initial screening process by 9:00 p.m.
- Entry will be denied to those in possession of drugs, alcohol, and/or weapons.
- Smoking on the premises is prohibited.
- You must exit the facility NO LATER THAN 7:00 a.m. the following day. PLEASE NOTE: PATRONS MAY BE ASKED TO EXIT AT 6:30 AM TO ENSURE ALL PATRONS HAVE EXITED THE PREMISES BY 7 AM.
Please keep in mind that the Pip Moyer Recreation Center – Auxiliary Gym is a temporary emergency warming center of last resort. If you need general or long-term sheltering assistance, you may also contact the Crisis Response warm line at 410-768-5522.
The City of Annapolis Warming Relief Program will open in the winter months, unless the threshold of 32 degrees in wind chill is reached, as an overnight warming center for individuals who need this service.
