CURRENTLY SERVING OVER 350 FAMILIES WEEKLY
To combat food insecurity as well as in response to COVID-19, Blessed in Tech Ministries developed a way to reach the masses, through our MEN ON A MISSION program we developed a way to serve our community during the height of the pandemic. The Drive Thru Food Give Away (MOBILE) Pantry (MEN ON A MISSION FOOD GIVEAWAY) is designed to meet the community right where they are meeting their most basic need, nutrition. What began as a drive-thru providing one box of food in the parking lot of the Eastport Annapolis-Neck Library in November 2019, serving only 30 households, has now grown to over 350 households weekly today.
FOOD FRIDAYS was instituted by the Office of Emergency Management, initially serving 32 families, and was designed to help those who are sick and shut in the City of Annapolis in need of food assistance. In response to COVID-19, the City of Annapolis, awarded Blessed in Tech Ministries the opportunity to manage and build this program with an amazing team of volunteers from serving 32 households to 289 weekly from November 2020 until June 30, 2023. Food Fridays operates as a delivery and pick-up service out of the Pip Moyer Recreation Center from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. To date, Food Fridays serves 265 residents. Please contact the Office of Emergency Management for this service at 410-216-9167 to register for Food Fridays.
PLEASE NOTE: WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR MEN ON A MISSION FREE FOOD GIVEAWAY PROGRAM! WE NEED SORTERS, LOADERS, REGISTRARS, PACKERS, AND TRAFFIC CONTROLERS TO AID IN FEEDING OUR NEIGHBORS IN THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS AND ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY!
